On the occasion of the 15th anniversary between Roskilde University, Denmark and VNUHCM - University of Science, to continue supporting and expanding the cooperation between the two sides, VNUHCM - University of Science held The Awarding Ceremony of HCMC Badge and VNUHCM Memorial Medal to 8 Danish Professors: Erik Thulstrup, Fritz Duus, Poul Erik Hansen, Jens Spanget Larsen, Ole Vang, Torben Lund, John Mortensen and Soren Hvidt from Roskilde University, Denmark.
The 8 professors have greatly contributed to postgraduate training and scientific research for Vietnam through the ENRECA project funded by DAINIDA (Denmark). In recognition of their great contributions, the HCM City People's Committee decided to award the HCMC Badge as the city's most prestigious award; and the President of VNUHCM also decided to award the VNUHCM memorial medal to the 8 professors.
Attending the ceremony, on the Vietnamese side, there were Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu - Vice Chairman of the HCMC People's Committee and the Board of management from University of Science: Prof.Dr. Tran Linh Thuoc - Rector, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Le Quan - Vice Rector and Prof.Dr. Chau Van Tao - Vice Rector. On behalf of the Denmark side, there were Mr. Morten Pristed - Education and Health Advisor, Embassy of Denmark; Prof. Poul Erik Hansen - Roskilde University; Prof. Fritz Duus; Prof. Jens Spanget-Larsen with his spouse Marie Louise Spanget-Larsen, Prof. Ole Vang, Prof. Torben Lund.
To commemorate the fruitful cooperation, as well as opening up new and more comprehensive relationships in the future, the University of Science and the University of Roskilde have signed a memorandum of cooperation and exchange in training and scientific research.

Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Tran Linh Thuoc, Rector of the University of Science, thanked the professors from Roskilde University for their special affection for Vietnamese students in general and students of University of Science in particular.
Sharing his thoughts at the ceremony, Prof. Poul Erik Hansen said: "The ENRECA project not only produces significant scientific results, but also creates opportunities for all of us to meet and exchange with different cultures and different thingkings. This is truly a wonderful experience and my colleagues and I hope that this cooperation will go on even after the first project has ended. We hope that the his project will continue in the future.”
